What this is
This is a real Comment Downloader report, shortened for this page,, built from the 146 public comments under the YouTube video POSTURE CORRECTORS! Do they work?!, collected on 6 November 2026. We asked it one question: what do people who consider a posture corrector complain about, doubt and want, and what should a brand say in its next ad? Much of the thread is off-topic (the creator's accent, her makeup, arguments) or spam, and the report left those out. Counts are the number of comments behind each finding.
What buyers complain about
- Nobody knows how long to wear it (14 comments). The most repeated issue. Some say 30 to 40 minutes a day is nothing and you must wear it all day; others say all-day wear makes things worse. New buyers ask: do I wear this all day right away?
- Posture that has always been bad (7 comments). Long-standing slouching and weak back and shoulder muscles. Some still slouch despite yoga and pilates; one says their posture sucks in photos.
- Uncomfortable to actually wear (6 comments). Circulation cut off to the arms, sore front of the shoulders, scratchy Velcro, achy at first.
- Not sure it fits my body or condition (4 comments). People with a hunchback, scoliosis, back pain or neck issues ask whether it is safe or will help them.
Example: “you absolutely wasted your time wearing it 30-40 mins a day.... I wear mine for the whole day and works great” (original comment).
What they want
- Show me it still works months later (11 comments). The most common ask: a 6-month update, did you continue, how is your posture today.
- Posture that holds when it is off (5 comments). Does it help correct posture when you are not wearing it?
- A clear routine to follow (4 comments). Tell me plainly how to start and build up wear time.
- An easy fix that is not another workout (4 comments). Some openly admit they are looking for a shortcut.
- Something you can hide under clothes (1 comments). Can I put a hoodie over it?
Example: “Would love to hear how you get in 6 months from now if you still use it!” (original comment).
The doubts that stop them buying
- Exercise does it better (6 comments). Strengthen your back and core instead; you might not need one.
- It makes your muscles lazy (3 comments). Long-term wear means muscles stop doing their job.
- It only works while you are wearing it (3 comments). It will not correct posture on its own.
- Reviews and ads feel paid (3 comments). Distrust of affiliate links and copy-paste comments.
Who is talking
- Curious researchers waiting for proof (17 comments, 12%). Have not bought yet; want long-term, honest evidence.
- Wear-it-all-day veterans (14, 10%). Own one and argue short sessions are too little.
- New buyers figuring it out (13, 9%). Just ordered; want to know how long to wear it and whether it will stay comfortable.
- Exercise-first skeptics (11, 8%). Think training beats a brace.
- People with pain or a condition (9, 6%). Want to know if it is safe for their body.
What to test first
- Own the ‘how long do I wear it’ answer. Lead with a simple build-up schedule (start an hour twice a day, build up) against a generic posture message. YouTube in-stream, a talking-head video.
- Long-term wearer check-ins. Real customers at month 3 and month 6, about routine and comfort, not body transformation. YouTube Shorts.
- Comfort and the hoodie test. Show it under a hoodie and close up at the shoulders: comfortable enough to actually keep on. Meta feed, UGC demo.
- Reminder plus routine. Bundle a short strengthening routine to answer the exercise doubt.
Opening lines and a short script
- “You absolutely wasted your time wearing it 30-40 mins a day.”
- “Do I wear this all day right away? Here’s what nobody tells you.”
- “I’m human and looking for a cop out, to be honest.”
- “Can I put a hoodie over it? Yep, watch.”
Script, ‘The wear-time answer’. Hook: Do I wear this all day right away? Nope, and that’s where everyone goes wrong. Body: In every comment section it’s the same fight. I started at an hour, twice a day, and worked it up within a week. A bit achy at first, then you stop noticing it. CTA: Grab yours and follow the build-up guide in the box.
Claims to check before you run them
The report flags lines that could read as a before and after promise, which ad platforms restrict and which need proof. For example, it suggests replacing “standing up straight feels like the default now” with “Six months in, wearing it is part of my routine and it keeps reminding me to sit up.”
What this data does not show
No price sensitivity, almost no competitor comparison, little about who is buying, and nothing on why people return it. The report says where to collect next: Amazon reviews of competing correctors, comparison videos and Reddit threads, and return reasons.
Run it on your own product
Open a product page, a TikTok, a Reddit thread or a review page and press Collect. Collecting in your browser is free; the free plan includes 5 reports a month. Get the free Chrome extension or see pricing.
