What it exports

  • Up to 500 of the most recent reviews per country per run (10 pages of 50)
  • Stars, review title, full text, author and date
  • Helpful votes when the review has any
  • The store country in the link, for example apps.apple.com/gb/, the US store when the link has none

Honest limits

  • Reads Apple's public review feed. Apple's feed stops at 10 pages, so older reviews past the most recent 500 per country cannot be read.
  • Developer replies are not collected.
  • Chrome asks for permission once, the first time you collect from the App Store.
  • When you ask from Claude or ChatGPT, our server reads App Store reviews itself, free, so Chrome does not need to be open.

How it works

  1. Open the app on apps.apple.com and copy its link. Change the country code in the link to read another store.
  2. Paste it into Comment Downloader and press Collect.
  3. Filter by stars, export to CSV or press Find angles.

CSV columns

Also available as JSON, Markdown, or a compact "Copy for AI" block to paste into ChatGPT or Claude.

More than an export: the angle report

Exporters stop at the spreadsheet. Comment Downloader reads the collection for you and writes a report where every line cites the comments that prove it.

PainObjectionWantHook

Pains, desires, objections, ad angles, hooks, audience profiles and short UGC-style ad scripts, in your market's language. Example: "the straps dig into my armpits" becomes the objection behind an ad angle, with the quotes linked.

Or ask Claude or ChatGPT

Add Comment Downloader as a connector and ask in plain words, for example "collect the comments on this page and give me 5 ad angles". Your assistant asks your Comment Downloader extension to collect, in your own Chrome.

Questions

Do I need an Apple ID?

No. The reviews come from Apple's public review feed, which needs no sign-in.

Why only 500 reviews?

Apple's public feed shows the 500 most recent reviews per country. Collect the same app from other country stores to get more.

Does it include the star rating?

Yes. Every review keeps its stars and title. The CSV has a rating column.

Can I open the export in Excel?

Yes. The CSV is UTF-8 with a byte order mark, so Excel shows every language correctly.
