Privacy policy
Comment Downloader is a Chrome extension, a small server and a command line tool that help you collect public comments and reviews and turn them into ad research. This page says exactly what we handle and why.
- What you collect stays in your browser. It leaves only when you ask for a report, or when your own AI assistant asks your extension to collect something.
- We know your email address, because you sign in with Google. Nothing else from your Google account.
- We do not sell data, show ads, or use any analytics or tracking.
- You can delete everything at any time.
1. What stays in your browser
Collections (comments, reviews, ads you collected), reports you saved, brands, listening phrases and alerts, and your settings are kept in your browser's extension storage on your own computer. We cannot see them. Uninstalling the extension or deleting a collection removes them.
To collect a page, the extension opens it in a background tab on that site and reads what the page shows you. For sites that need you to be signed in (Amazon, Facebook, Instagram) it uses your existing session in that browser. It never reads your passwords, never posts, likes or messages anything, and only reads pages you or your assistant asked for.

3. Who processes it
- Google signs you in. We receive only your verified email address.
- Anthropic writes reports. When you ask for a report, the collection's text is sent to Anthropic's API, which does not use it to train its models.
- Vercel hosts our server, and Upstash holds the short-lived data in the table above.
We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs and from the Chrome extension will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use data only to provide the features you use, we do not transfer it except as described above, we do not use it for advertising or to determine credit-worthiness, and no person reads it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
5. Content you collect
Comments and reviews are written by other people. You are responsible for how you use them and for following each site's terms. Comment Downloader reads only what you can open yourself, at a slow pace, and only when you start it.
6. Deleting your data
- In the extension: delete any collection, or uninstall the extension to remove everything stored locally.
- Sign out in the extension's Account page to end your session. Disconnect your AI assistant in its own settings, and revoke API keys in the Account page.
- To delete your account and everything on our server, email support@multiplegroupposter.com (placeholder support address) from the address you sign in with. We delete it within 30 days, and most of it expires on its own within 7 to 90 days anyway.
7. Security
Tokens, codes and keys are stored only as one-way hashes. Connections use HTTPS. Each person's collections are kept separate and checked on every request.
8. Children
Comment Downloader is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Material changes will also be shown in the extension.
