Tripadvisor review scraper

What it exports
- The reviews the page itself publishes as structured data: author, date and text
- Hotels, restaurants and attractions on any Tripadvisor domain
Honest limits
- Beta: Tripadvisor blocks automated reading, so Comment Downloader reads only what the opened page publishes, usually the first page of reviews, with no paging.
- If Tripadvisor shows a bot check, the run stops and says so. Nothing is solved or bypassed.
- For deeper hotel or restaurant research today, Google Maps (beta) and Yelp are often richer.
How it works
- Open the Tripadvisor page in Chrome and copy its link.
- Paste it into Comment Downloader and press Collect.
- Export the reviews, or add them to a compare report with other sources.

More than an export: the angle report
Exporters stop at the spreadsheet. Comment Downloader reads the collection for you and writes a report where every line cites the comments that prove it.

Why is it beta?
Tripadvisor blocks automated reading, so only the first page the site publishes can be read.
Does it read every review?
No. Usually the first page only. We say this plainly in the extension too.
Are there better sources for local businesses?
Yelp reads about 100 reviews per business, and Google Maps is in beta.
Is collecting free?
Yes.
